| NTB |
The Spyder was built as part of a thesis at the University of Applied Sciences NTB in Buchs. The students developed the gearset as well as the battery box, and did a great job in vehicle integration. Moreover, a photovoltaic plant on the roof of the NTB (background of the picture) provides the required energy. |
|
| Drivetrain and Battery |
The drivetrain is located in the rear of the vehicle. Red are the two inverters for the two motors below. Each motor drives one rear wheel via a seperate gearbox. Below the inverters, the black battery box is visible. |
|
| Auxiliaries |
In the front trunk are the auxiliaries: A 12V-DCDC-converter (red box) supplies 12V power. Behind the orange power cable is the water cooled battery charger. Behind the charger is the VCU (Vehicle Controll Unit). The VCU controlls and observes all the components in the car. |
