| Description |
The BSC618-24V is a bidirectional DC/DC-Converter with galvanic isolation between the high voltage and low voltage circuitry. The first stage is a series-resonant operating transformer, which provides galvanic isolation. The second stage is a pair of buck/boost-converters, that are operated interleaved in order to reduce ripple current. Due to the resonant topology of the transformer stage and the AutoCommutation of the buck/boost-converter, not only losses are reduced to a minimum but also an excellent EMC-behaviour is obtained.
Applications
- Electric, hybrid and fuel cell trucks and buses
- power link between high and low voltage power circuits in a vehicle
- provide power on the LV side for loads like headlights, wipers, radio etc.
- provide power on the high voltage side from 24V battery for startup of engines or fuel cells
- substitute alternator / cranking motor / 24V battery, depending on the application
