DCDC converters for use with DC voltages of a few 100V, which convert the high voltage to a lower voltage of 12V, 24V or 48V.
Typical use is in an electric or hybrid electric vehicle or boat. In a hybrid electric vehicle, the 12V alternator can be substituted by a DCDC converter.
