Excellence since 1985

BRUSA Elektronik AG is a leading development service provider for all electronic and mechanical components of the e-powertrain. Since it was founded in 1985, BRUSA has played a key role in the global breakthrough in electromobility.

Our global team is constantly working on innovations at our worldwide locations in order to further advance electric mobility. As an innovation platform, we work together with our partners to offer solutions that give our international customers a decisive lead.

OUR HISTORY

BRUSA Elektronik AG looks at one 36-year company history back. The past few years have been shaped by trend-setting ideas in the field of electric mobility.

DISCOVER OUR PRODUCTS

The DMC544 is the most powerful inverter from BRUSA. It can be used to control different types of motors. The power output stage is based on the highly efficient, resonant SoftSwing® topology, which was developed and patented by BRUSA Elektronik AG.

Our motors offer continuous power and are therefore ideally suited for electric vehicles that need to achieve high initial acceleration as well as high final speeds without a manual gearbox.

Our converters have unmatched versatility. For example, in fuel cell applications, bidirectional operation allows the fuel cell auxiliary circuits to start, and the adjustable controls facilitate implementation in a variety of applications.

BRUSA Wireless Power Transfer System ICS 1 is the first and only product certified according to IEC 61980. The system is based on BRUSA's own FRAME® technology.

MARKET SHARE ELECTRIC CARS H1 2020

In Norway, almost half of all new vehicles registered in the first half of 2020 were purely electric vehicles. The TeslaModel 3 electric vehicle was the best-selling car model in 2019. Norwegian car owners bought around 15,700 Model 3 cars in 2019.

Norway is at the center of the electric vehicle movement. This despite a total population of around 5.3 million. Despite the high penetration rate of electric vehicles in the country, a car fleet of around 2.6 million suggests that electric car sales are lower than some larger markets, including the US and China. An estimated 250,000 battery electric vehicles (BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) were in use across Norway in 2018.

"Every manufacturer is planning one or more electric models for the future. The electric motor will replace the combustion engine. In 10 years no car will be sold without a plug. In 20 years no more with a combustion engine. In 30 years no more with a steering wheel.

Josef Brusa

President of the Board of Directors and founder of BRUSA Elektronik AG
"We have built up a great deal of know-how in recent years in both inductive charging and fuel cells, and we have developed a market advantage that we will continue to expand."

Dr. Holger Fink

CTO, BRUSA Electronics AG
