Parameterization

Parameterization of third-party motors with BRUSA inverters DMC5x

BRUSA also offers the option of parameterizing third-party motors. This takes place, among other things, with in-house, very high-quality and professionally equipped test stands. The parameters are set on the test bench using the BRUSA inverter family DMC5x. The DMC5x is a universal converter that can be used to control different types of motors.

External parameterization can be done in different ways:

version 1

  • Transmission of the entire motor data (see download Excel file ).
  • BRUSA uses this to calculate the specific motor table.
  • The customer tests his engine on his own test bench using the engine table provided.
  • The customer can optionally use it to create measurements, whereupon BRUSA further optimizes the motor table.

Variant 2

  • Transmission of selected engine data.
  • Construction of engine-specific adapter plates and shafts for BRUSA engine test bench (by the customer or BRUSA).
  • BRUSA carries out initial commissioning on the test bench.
  • BRUSA calculates and optimizes the specific engine table.
  • The customer tests and validates the engine on its own test bench.

Variation 3

  • Transmission of selected engine data.
  • Construction of engine-specific adapter plates and shafts for BRUSA engine test bench (by the customer or BRUSA).
  • BRUSA carries out initial commissioning on the test bench.
  • BRUSA calculates and optimizes the specific engine table.
  • BRUSA carries out measurements or records motor characteristics such as:
    • Efficiency maps
    • Torque accuracy
    • Max. Power / max. Torque
    • Continuous moment / continuous power
    • Short-circuit current / short-circuit torque
    • Several voltage levels possible
    • BRUSA creates a finished measurement report.

The parameters listed in the Excel file facilitate motor parameterization. If it is possible to supply all the listed parameters and the inductance curves as a function of the currents Id and Iq, depending on the torque accuracy requirement, a test bench can even be dispensed with.
